This is a small 1 line by 24 charcaters LCD display, HD66717 controller, without backlight. The outer size of the metal fram is 18 x 97 mm.
The pinout is the standard 14 pins found on most character LCDs, but note that pin 3 is reset, not contrast. The controller is similar to but definitely not compatible with the HD44780. Check the datasheets for the details. I think this display can only be used in 8-bit mode (not in 4-bit mode). The connector on the back has one row 1.27mm spaced pins.
This is a surplus product. It was obtained from a surplus store, from an inventory or from any other secondary source. You can expect this product to be in good working condition, but it can show signs of being handled, shipped, repackaged etc. The supply of a surplus article can suddenly run out, or the price can change. Get it while it is available.
