This is small (38 x 15 mm viewing area) surplus 97 x 35 graphical LCD display. It uses a PCF8558 (I2C) controller. Interfacing this LCD is not as easy as a using a standard charcater display, but the effect is beautifull and the price is certainly right. A customer (Arthur de la Court) added this note:The pull-down capacity of the display (for the ack on the SDA line) is rather feeble. With a pull-up resistor of less than 47k I could not get a reliable communication.
This is a surplus product. It was obtained from a surplus store, from an inventory or from any other secondary source. You can expect this product to be in good working condition, but it can show signs of being handled, shipped, repackaged etc. The supply of a surplus article can suddenly run out, or the price can change. Get it while it is available.
